FAQ
I'm a complete beginner. Where do I start?
At Foundation — it starts from hiragana and katakana. Foundation and all of N5 are free.
I already know some Japanese. Do I start from zero?
No. Pick your starting level when you sign up. Earlier lessons are skipped, so you won't get reviews for things you haven't studied here.
Where can I use it?
In your web browser, on a computer or phone. Conversation practice needs a microphone.
How do I cancel Premium?
From your profile in the app, anytime. You keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for.
Is AI Sensei included in Premium?
No — AI features use Sensei AI Credits on every plan, so you only pay for what you use. The cost is shown before you start.
